Submitting a site

To help you with submitting a site to the Domains of Spain directory we have outlined some guidelines that will enable you to get the best out of this site. The directory is selective so not all sites are accepted as the aim of this site is to ensure it is the most useful directory as possible for the users and not necessarily include all site submissions to the editors.

4 Steps for submitting a site

Step 1
First it is important to determine if the intended site is appropriate for Domains of Spain:

  • Do not submit URLs that contain only the same or similar content as other sites you may have listed in the directory.  Sites with similar content are not helpful to users of Domains of Spain.  Multiple submissions of the same or directly related sites may result in the deletion of those and all related sites. 
  • Do not submit mirror sites. Mirror sites are sites that contain the same content, but are completely different addresses. 
  • Do not submit any site with an address that automatically redirects to another address. This will result in removal of the site from the directory
  • Do not attempt to disguise the submission by submitting the same URL in different formats.
    Example: http://www.domainsofspain.com and http://www.domainsofspain.com/index.htm. 
  • Domains of Spain does not include sites with illegal content. This includes child pornography; libel; material that infringes any intellectual property right; and material that specifically advocates, solicits or abets illegal activity (such as fraud or violence). 
  • Sites that are incomplete, contain "Under Construction" notices, or contain broken graphics or links will not be deemed suitable for Domains of Spain. 
  • Don't submit sites consisting largely of affiliate links.
Step 2
Use the search box provided below to check if the site is already listed on Domains of Spain.
 

Step 3
Identify which category suits your site the most. As there is a huge amount of subjects to choose from it is important that you select the appropriate and most relevant section for your site. If a site is submitted to an inappropriate or unrelated category it may be rejected or removed.

Step 4
Once you are happy the above criteria has been met, simply go to the category you wish to add your site to and click the 'Suggest a site' link at the top of the page. You will be taken through a few steps to ensure your site has the best chance of being listed. Follow the instructions carefully.
